Random Friday Post

No new news... just taking a break from packing & breaking up cat fights. They obviously can tell that something is going on (what, with all the boxes everywhere) and aren't real sure what to do about it besides fight with each other. I'm really looking forward to having a bigger house with more room for the cats to spread out to their own space.

Had a good check up this week with Jim (OB/GYN). Have only gained 11 pounds so far, which i am carrying ENTIRELY in front of me. I can no longer refer to "my little bump" before Max corrects me that it's no longer "little." This little guy has started to punch & kick simultaneously, which is a fabulously strange feeling.

Move day is next weekend - since it's such a close move, and we don't have a saturday to dedicate to it, we're taking it in phases over a few days. We've got lots of friends with trucks/trailers, so we're hoping we can even avoid renting a Uhaul for the big stuff, of which we have very little. With the parsonage being fully furnished, we're being selective about what we take & where we put it.

Hmmm... okay - that's all for now. My back is starting to hurt more easily these days - packing has been hard on me. I take a break every 30 minutes or so. That seems to help, but lately my breaks have started to be longer than my working sessions. =)

Pictures from January

These are some pics that we took in the last few days... the first one is (obviously) of our little guy, hanging out w/his feet up. The 2nd one is of me - 25.2 weeks pregnant - as my doc said this morning, almost 70% done! We're counting down the weeks, with many, many things to get done before we're really ready to meet our son. Until then, we're enjoying watching him kick (you can see my belly move if he's really active) and STILL trying to figure out what to name him. Max's newest idea is "Zo" - an african name which I quickly vetoed. We'll come up with something, don't worry!

'til next month (or another free evening when I'm not exhausted)...
